Tips and Tricks

Save ALL of the original files (videos, pictures, music) that you are using for your project in one file. Save the files on a USB "flash" drive if you want to work at home AND at school or in the "H" drive if you ONLY want to work at school.

Make sure that you are using the same version of Movie Maker if you are working on several different computers (school and home).

Save often!

While working on your project, choose "Save Project" (not the same as "Save Movie"), in the file drop-down menu, this will allow you to continue editing.

Once you are completely finished editing the movie, save the project one more time, then "Save Movie". This will finalize your project and you will not be able to edit this file.

Need music for your video?

is a great place to download free music and sound effects!
